The church ruin St. Cäcilia is located between the villages of Böheimkirchen and Pyhra , a few hundred meters away (within sight) of the western motorway .

The church consecrated to St. Cecilia of Rome was first mentioned in a document in 1250/60, in the 14th and 15th centuries it belonged to the Göttweig monastery . The ruins still preserved today come from a church building from the 14th century . In the 18th century the baroque style took place . In 1805 the church was destroyed by French troops during the Napoleonic War .
