history

The neo-baroque group building was built in 1894/95 according to plans by the architect Carl Hocheder . It served different purposes: 14th district inspection, fire station, and a municipal bath and shower. The bath was opened in December 1894. At the time of construction, the facility consisted of a basement and ground floor. On two upper floors above the former bathtub there was an apartment for the pool attendant and another apartment for free rental. The construction costs amounted to 80,000 marks. The bathroom was divided into sections with tubs for 7 women and 8 men each. There were 12 showers for male visitors, while only one cabin was available for women.

Today, among other things, there is a kindergarten in this large house.
