Kirchohmfeld (band)

Kirchohmfeld is a German music project that moves in the field of darkwave and avant-garde electronic music .

The original band members from Kirchohmfeld were Andreas Neumann and Gerhard Eminger. In 1997 their first album Sic transit gloria mundi was released on Chrom Records. The second album Diode was released in 1999 on Paragoric / Dark Vinyl Records. While sound experiments are in the foreground in Sic transit gloria mundi , Diode is heavily influenced by melodic songs with reference to German electronic bands from the 1980s. Andreas Neumann Kirchohmfeld continued as a solo project with the third album Cross Section (Dark Vinyl, 2006) . Poems by German poets, for example Joseph von Eichendorff (“Nachts” on diode ), serve as a text basis in all albums .
