Parish Tönning

Parish Tönning was a municipality in the district of North Friesland in Schleswig-Holstein . The community included the area of the parish Tönning, which did not belong to the town of Tönning , which was formed in 1590 . Originally the community was called simply Tönning and was also referred to as the rural community Tönning to distinguish it from the town of the same name. On January 1, 1974, the community was dissolved and incorporated into the city of Tönning.
