Marco Rapp (born June 5, 1991 in Nuremberg ) is a German soccer player .
Career
As a youth, Rapp moved from 1. FC Nürnberg to SpVgg Greuther Fürth in summer 2008 . In the 2009/10 season he ran for the first time as an A-youth for the second team of Fürth in the Regionalliga Süd . After the end of this season, Rapp moved to the second team at VfB Stuttgart .
Rapp made his professional debut on October 30, 2010 on the 14th day of the 2010/11 season for VfB II in the 3rd professional league against SSV Jahn Regensburg . After a total of 16 professional appearances for the second team in Stuttgart, his expiring contract with VfB was not extended at the end of the 2012/13 season. He then returned to SpVgg Greuther Fürth II. There he was promoted to captain of the U-23 and made his debut for the first team in Fürth on April 11, 2015, the 28th matchday of the 2014/15 season, in a 1-1 draw against FSV Frankfurt . He scored his first second division two weeks later on matchday 30 in the 1: 2 away defeat against Karlsruher SC .
For the 2015/16 season, Rapp moved back to the 3rd division for Chemnitzer FC . He signed a two-year contract with the third division club. Rapp left the club during the 2015/16 winter break and moved to Kickers Offenbach in the Regionalliga Südwest . In August 2018, Kickers Offenbach announced that they wanted to terminate the contract with Marco Rapp. With immediate effect, Rapp then moved to Spielvereinigung Oberfranken Bayreuth in the Regionalliga Bayern . Rapp stayed here until 2019.
In the summer of 2019, Marco Rapp tore a cruciate ligament in the 1-1 draw against Illertissen and ended his active career as a footballer as a result.
