The half-timbered house at Kirchstrasse 31 , built in 1546, is considered to be the oldest residential building in the city of Treffurt in the Wartburg district in Thuringia . It is designated as a cultural monument.

The building with a vaulted cellar was built in 1546 as a half-timbered building as a bourgeois residential and commercial building. In addition to the lavishly designed entrance door, it has a large bay window decorated with bourbon lilies. Gothic design elements can still be seen in the half-timbered construction .

The internal structure of the building has remained largely unchanged over the centuries. There are business premises on the ground floor and apartments on the upper floors. An extension was added to the rear of the building to create sanitary facilities.

At the end of the 1990s, a comprehensive, listed building was carried out, during which the cladding with sheet zinc panels from the 19th century was removed and the original framework made visible again.
