Kirjalaön ( Finnish: Kirjalansaari ) is a 49 km² island in the archipelago off the southwest coast of Finland . It is about 11 km south of Turku as the crow flies and administratively belongs to the city of Pargas (Parainen). On the island there are the villages of Nederkirjala, Kårkulla, Kårlax, Skogsvig, Kyrkäng, Fagerkulla, Bollböle, Nilsby, Lielax, Garsböle and Rövarnäs. The most important neighboring islands are Kuusisto in the north, Lemlax in the south and Ålön in the southwest. Kuusisto and Ålön can be reached via bridges.
