Kirkby Mallory is a civil parish in the English county of Leicestershire .
The small town of Kirkby Mallory is known nationwide in Great Britain for the nearby racing circuit, Mallory Park , which is the shortest permanent British circuit with a length of 2.173 km.
The town was founded by Sir Anketil Malory, a knight from the 14th century . He built Kirkby Manor, which gave the place its name. Ada Byron , the daughter of Lord Byron , lived in this property with her mother Anne Isabella Noel-Byron, 11th Baroness Wentworth during her childhood.
