Clack pirate
The clack pirate (international: Pop-up Pirate , Japanese 黒 ひ げ 危機 一 発 , Kurohige Kiki Ippatsu , German: " Blackbeards almost escaped danger") is the best-selling toy from the Japanese toy manufacturer Tomy . From its market launch in 1975 to 2005, the action and skill game was sold more than 10 million times. The German name refers both to the sound of the pirate jumping out in the style of a box devil , as well as to the game show Klack on the TV station RTL .
Gameplay
With the clack pirate, a pirate sits in a barrel. Swords have to be stuck into this. If the pirate jumps out with a sword thrust, this player has lost. According to the manufacturer, the game, which is made of plastic, is designed for 2-4 children from around 3 years of age, with two or 4 participants being recommended.
Versions
In Germany there have been three different versions of the game since 1989:
- 1989 clack pirate
- 1996 clack pirate (without RTL logo)
- 2003 Pop Up Pirate (with various headscarves and sabers)
Tomy released a version with comedian Hard Gay in Japan in late 2005 .
