Klan (in German : Klan ) is a Polish soap opera . It has been broadcast on the public TV channel TVP1 since September 22, 1997 . The program will be broadcast Monday through Thursday on TVP1 at 5:50 p.m. Reps will be shown on TVP Polonia with English subtitles.
The series deals with the fictional multi-generation fate of the Warsaw Lubicz family. In 1999 and 2000 it won the prestigious Polish television award telecamera in the category "television series". The 3000th episode aired on October 20, 2016. The series has been broadcast in 16: 9 format since the 12th season.
From 1997 to 2000, Klan was the most successful series on Polish television with around 10 million viewers. Currently (2016) it reaches up to 3 million viewers.
