Klaus Tschira competence center

The Klaus Tschira Competence Centers for Early Science Education is a non-profit company in Heidelberg and belongs to the Klaus Tschira Foundation . It runs projects at the Heidelberg University of Education with the aim of promoting natural sciences, mathematics and computer science and contributing to the appreciation of these subjects.

The research station, based in Heidelberg, is an affiliated institute of the Heidelberg University of Education. Its aim is to inspire pedagogical specialists and teachers from nurseries, day care centers and primary schools for natural sciences. To this end, the research station relies on in-service training, the provision of suitable experimentation ideas, practice-related research and the qualification of young scientists.
