Klaus Fischer (science historian)

Klaus Fischer (* 1949 ) is a German science historian and science theorist who has been a professor at Trier University since 1992 .

From 1975 to 1977 Fischer worked at the chair of Hans Albert at the University of Mannheim , where he received his doctorate with a thesis on the history of science on the "Critique of Marxist Theory of Science". From 1977 to 1985 Fischer worked at the University of Münster at Heinz Hartmann's chair , where he was editor of the magazine "Soziologische Revue". From 1985 to 1992 he worked at the Center for Research on Antisemitism (headed by Herbert A. Strauss ) at the Technical University of Berlin , where he led projects on "Research into the history of the effects of the emigration of physicists and biologists from Germany after 1933". In 1987 Fischer completed his habilitation with a thesis in the field of cognitive research. Since 1992 he has been a university professor at the University of Tier.
