Klaus Zeppenfeld

Klaus Zeppenfeld (* 1963 in Werl ) is President of the Hamm-Lippstadt University of Applied Sciences . He is married and has two children.

Life

Zeppenfeld studied computer science and mathematics at the University of Paderborn . In 1993 he did his doctorate at the University of Osnabrück with a dissertation on parallel computer graphics and animation with transputers . In 1997, he took up a professorship in the computer science department at the Dortmund University of Applied Sciences , where he was elected vice dean in 1999, until he became dean in 2005 and helped determine the further direction of the computer science department.

He was scientific director of IT-Center Dortmund GmbH, a private training facility. As a senior consultant at sd & m AG, Zeppenfeld was responsible for the holistic development of individual software for major customers in various projects. At Brockhaus Software & Consulting AG, he was Chairman of the Supervisory Board between 2002 and 2012. To this day he is a partner in KonWerl Zentrum GmbH.

Since 2004 he has authored several textbooks, and since 2007 he has been the editor of the series of specialist books on computer science in the focus of Springer-Verlag.
