The Klaxons are a four-piece British indie rock- pop band.
Band history
The band was founded in 2005 in London under the name Klaxons (Not Centaurs) . Shortly after its founding, the British music press, in particular the New Musical Express magazine , classified it as a representative of the New Rave genre because of its combination of rock music and elements of electronic music ( electro , rave ) .
In April 2006, the band 's debut single was released under the title Gravity's Rainbow with an edition of 500 copies. The second single, Atlantis to Interzone , only appeared in an edition of 1000 copies, but achieved significantly more airplay . Then the four musicians got a record deal with Polydor Records . Her debut album Myths of the Near Future made it to number 2 on the British album charts in early February 2007.
In addition, the Klaxons and the Chemical Brothers produced the track All Rights Reversed on their 2007 album We Are the Night .
