Shamrock Initiative

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Kleeblatt-Initiative , also known as Kleeblatt-Initiatives , is a name that combines three popular initiatives in Switzerland .

All three initiatives were launched by the Swiss Transport Club , were voted on in the federal referendum on April 1, 1990 and were rejected by the people and the cantons . These were the following initiatives:

  • Federal popular initiative "for a motorway-free landscape between Murten and Yverdon"
  • Federal popular initiative "for a motorway-free Knonau office"
  • Federal popular initiative "for a free Aare landscape between Biel and Solothurn / Zuchwil"

Effects

Although all three templates of the shamrock initiative were clearly rejected, they had an impact on the planning and expansion of the affected sections of the motorways . For example, during the construction of the A4 , the Knonau Office paid more attention to environmental and landscape protection.
