Saint-Colomban-des-Villards is a French municipality with 135 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Savoie in the region of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . It belongs to the arrondissement of Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne and the canton of Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne (until 2015: canton of La Chambre ). The inhabitants are called Colégnons , Colognons or Villarins .

Saint-Colomban-des-Villards is located about 38 kilometers southeast of Chambéry and about 40 kilometers east-northeast of Grenoble on the Glandon , which rises in the municipality. Saint-Colomban-des-Villards is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Alban-des-Villards in the north and northeast, Fontcouverte-la-Toussuire in the east, Saint-Sorlin-d'Arves in the south and southeast, Vaujany in the southwest, and La Ferrière in the west and Pinsot in the northwest.
The Les Sybelles ski area is located here .
