Val d'Arc is a French commune with 2,008 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Savoie in the region of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . It belongs to the canton of Saint-Pierre-d'Albigny and the Arrondissement of Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne .

It was created as Commune nouvelle with effect from January 1, 2019 by merging the previous municipalities of Randens and Aiguebelle , which have the status of a Commune déléguée in the new municipality . The administrative headquarters are in Radens.

location

The community is about 15 kilometers as the crow flies south of Albertville on both sides of the River Arc . The A43 motorway crosses the municipality. Neighboring municipalities are Bonvillaret in the north, Montsapey in the east, Argentine in the south, Saint-Georges-d'Hurtières in the southwest and Montgilbert in the west.
