Villarembert is a mountain village in the Savoy in France . The community is part of the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes , the Savoie department , the district Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne and Canton Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne . It borders on Fontcouverte-la-Toussuire to the north and east , Saint-Jean-d'Arves to the south and Saint-Sorlin-d'Arves to the west . The residents call themselves Rembertins.
