Saint-Rémy-de-Maurienne is located about 33 kilometers southeast of Chambéry and about 47 kilometers northeast of Grenoble on the Arc , which borders the municipality in the east. Saint-Rémy-de-Maurienne is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Pierre-de-Belleville and Saint-Léger in the north, La Chapelle in the east and northeast, Les Chavannes-en-Maurienne in the east, La Chambre in the east and southeast, Saint -Étienne-de-Cuines in the south and south-east, Arvillard in the west and north-west and Presle in the north-west.
