The Glandon is a river in France that runs in the Savoie department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region . It rises from the small mountain lake Lac de la Croix on the eastern flank of the Belledonne mountain range , in the municipality of Saint-Colomban-des-Villards , generally drains in a north-easterly direction and flows after 20 kilometers at the municipal border of Saint-Étienne-de-Cuines and Saint -Avre as a left tributary into the Arc .
