The KJF Klinik Sankt Elisabeth is a basic and standard care hospital in Neuburg an der Donau . The KJF Klinik St. Elisabeth gGmbH is owned by the Catholic Youth Welfare Organization of the Diocese of Augsburg eV (www.kjf-augsburg.de)

history

Since 1840, the nuns of the St. Elisabeth monastery ran the hospital for women in Neuburg an der Donau. In addition, a children's clinic was built in 1961. In 1980, after the dissolution of the St. Wolfgang Monastery , the Elisabethinerinnen took over the hospital of the Brothers of Mercy, which had been operated by this community since 1622 . The now formed United Ordenskrankenhäuser GmbH built the new clinic, which went into operation on April 10, 1992; the renovation of the children's clinic was completed in 1999.

Due to the lack of young talent in the order, the question of future sponsorship became acute. In 2017, following a 177-year tradition, the takeover by the Catholic youth welfare was under discussion. As of June 1, 2017, the Catholic youth welfare of the Diocese of Augsburg eV took over as the new and sole shareholder of the United Ordenskrankenhäuser GmbH .
