Clinical scales

Clinical scales are standardized questionnaires or assessments (rating scales) used in clinical psychology and psychiatry for signs of mental disorders and psychopathological findings . This is used in this context for the "International Scales for Psychiatry" of the Collegium Internationale Psychiatriae Scalarum (CIPS). The following areas are covered with the following procedures (usually the indication of the abbreviation):

  • General, cross-disorder scales (Bf-SR, B-LR, CGI, MDBF, SCL-90®-S, SF-36)
  • Dementia disorders (ADCS-ADL, ADAS, BEHAVE-AD, CDR, GDS, MMST, NOSGER)
  • Psychotic disorders (BPRS, CDSS-G, PANSS, SANS, SAPS, SWN-K)
  • Affective disorders (BDI-II, BRMAS, BRMS, GDS, HADS-D, HAMD, MADRS, YMRS-D)
  • Anxiety and Obsessive Compulsive Disorders (HAMA, HZI-K, LSAS, PAS, STAI, Y-BOCS)
  • Sleep disorders (ESS, PSQI, SF-A / R and SF-B / R, VIS-A / VIS-M)
  • Motor symptoms (AIMS, EPS, HAS)
