Rolf-Dieter Stieglitz

Rolf-Dieter Stieglitz (* 1952 ) is a German psychological psychotherapist and professor of clinical psychology and psychiatry . His main focus is diagnostic and therapeutic research, in particular on attention deficit / hyperactivity disorder in adults (ADHD).

Life

Rolf-Dieter Stieglitz studied psychology at the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel (CAU) from 1974 to 1980 and graduated there in 1980. In 1986 he did his doctorate at the CAU on the subject of recording changes. Theoretical and empirical contributions with Urs Baumann . In February 1997, Stieglitz completed his habilitation in psychology with the subject of diagnostics and classification of mental disorders at the Philosophical Faculty of the Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg . He was u. a. Research assistant or assistant at the CAU, the Psychiatric Clinic and Polyclinic of the Free University of Berlin ( Charité ) and at the Department of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy with Polyclinic of the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg. In 1999 he was recognized as a psychological psychotherapist.

Since April 2000, Stieglitz has been Head Psychologist at the University Psychiatric Clinic Basel (UPK Basel). Since October 2000 he has been an associate professor for clinical psychology at the University of Basel , since May 2005 with a double professorship in the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Psychology, since May 2010 with a double professorship for clinical psychology and psychiatry. Since January 2010 he has been head of the Psychodiagnostics division at UPK Basel and since October 2010 head of the Clinical Psychology and Psychiatry Department of the Faculty of Psychology at the University of Basel.

Memberships

Stieglitz is chairman of the Working Group for Methodology and Documentation in Psychiatry ( AMDP ). Furthermore, he is u. a. Member of the Professional Association of German Psychologists , the Society for Scientific Discussion Psychotherapy , the German Society for Psychology and the Federation of Swiss Psychologists .
