Klong Tueng Nong

The Klong Tueng Nong (in Thai กลอง ตึ่ ง โน ง , also Klong Aeo, Klong Aew) is a large tube-shaped drum that is played on one side and is played in northern Thailand .

The body is made of hollowed out wood. The Klong Tueng Nong is about 2 m long. It is used in ensembles for temple ceremonies, as a dance accompaniment in Buddhist processions and as an announcement of upcoming festivities such as Yi Peng , Songkran etc.
