Klootschießerlandesverband Oldenburg
The Klootschießerlandesverband Oldenburg (KLVO) is the umbrella organization of the Boßel and Klootschießervereine in Oldenburg (→ main article: Boßeln ). It represents around 16,000 members in 115 associations. The KLVO is a member of the Lower Saxony State Sports Association and the Frisian Klootschießer Association .
history
The Klootschießerlandesverband was founded in 1951 within the historic border of Oldenburg. The aim was to relieve the FKV in its work. For this purpose, the Landesklootschießerverband Ostfriesland was founded as a sister association four years earlier and the district associations of the FKV were divided between both associations. Through this change, clearly structured standing combat championships became possible, first in Klootschießen, a little later in 1954 also in Weidebosseln and finally from 1961 also in Straßenboßeln and Frisian all-around. The KLVO does not only see itself as a sports association. He has also devoted himself to maintaining the native Low German language. The so-called field fight against the throwers from the Landesklootschießerverband Ostfriesland is still the sporting highlight of every Klootschießer season - if it comes about. The prerequisite for the competition is that the ground is frozen solid .
structure
The association includes the seven Oldenburg district associations I Butjadingen , II Stadland, III Ammerland, IV Waterkant, VI Jeverland, X Friesische Wehde and XII Wilhelmshaven.

Point games
The district associations organize the Straßenboßeln point game operation in district classes and district leagues in up to eleven age groups - youth F (younger than eight years) to men V (70 years and older). As far as available in the respective age groups, the district champions rise to the national game classes after the promotion rounds have been held. The teams consist of two groups of four throwers each (Men I: four groups), one group throwing a rubber ball, the other a plastic ball (called "wood").

The winners of the national leagues men I and women I carry the title of national champion Oldenburg. The top three of the national leagues Men I and Women I are qualified for the final round of the Frisian Klootschießerverband against the representatives of the Landesklootschießerverband Ostfriesland.
State championships
In the age groups in which there is no regional league game operation, the national champions are determined at the annual regional championships. The respective district champions or district cup winners are qualified for this. In addition, the KLVO organizes individual state championships, also with the participation of the best bosses from the district associations.
Klootschießen
The klootschieten is traditionally a tournament sport. The KLVO and its district associations organize various tournaments for individual and team championships at district and association level. In addition, the season championship takes place every year at 10 venues and the districts sometimes hold kloot point rounds.
