The Semei Nunnery ( Russian Женский монастырь Семипалатинск ) is a monastery in the Kazakh city ​​of Semei . The building dates from the 19th century civil architecture . The two-story building was erected in 1899. The monastery complex also includes the church of Saints Peter and Paul.

Until 1917 the monastery belonged to Kyrgyzstan, who baptized Kazakh orphans here and raised them according to the Orthodox faith . During the Soviet period, the monastery housed a school . It was only returned to the church in 1988.
