Maria Mediator of All Graces is a monastery of the Discalced Carmelites in Witten . It was founded in 1933 in Pawelwitz near Breslau . In 1935 the first construction phase of the local monastery was completed. In 1941 the National Socialist government dissolved the monastery and confiscated it. The nuns found acceptance in the Ursuline convent in Breslau .

In 1946 they joined the refugee treks to the west and were initially accepted in Welden near Augsburg, later in Neuburg Castle . On the initiative of the Archbishop of Paderborn, Dr. Lorenz Jaeger , the sisters in Witten - Annen received a piece of land on a southern slope of the Ardey Mountains . There they built today's monastery in 1954. On November 18, 1956, the monastery church was consecrated by Paderborn Archbishop Lorenz Jaeger.

The main source of income for the monastery today is the host bakery .
