The Convent Street is a street in the city center of Wittlich in Rhineland-Palatinate . It branches off from Karrstrasse and connects it to the Mittlere Kordel at 70 meters. It has only existed since the early 19th century and leads across the area of the former Franciscan monastery, the six-meter high western wall of which has been partially preserved in the residential area (No. 2–12, even numbers), which is why the street is a listed building. After the sale of the monastery buildings in 1804, different buildings were lined up on small plots on the west side, while on the east side opposite, small farm and warehouse buildings of the simplest design were built. The street is essentially given the typical image of a narrow, inner-city residential street from the early 19th century.
