Clunkers

The clunkers ; (Middle Low German, Central German, akin to the clunkers male, plural coterie (female, plural: the clunkers) or Clunkers is colloquially a mostly larger) piece of jewelery which, spherical as a hanging teardrop or cone-shaped object made of wood, Made of metal, glass, porcelain or any other material. Furthermore, precious pieces of jewelery are commonly referred to as clunkers with contempt, envy or with an amused undertone.

The term “clunker” also denotes a uniform decoration. Among other things, the Duden gives the tassel as a synonym , as a military term a saber and sword ornamentation of portepee officers; otherwise a smaller tassel hanging from a cord .

In the adjectival use "clunky", fields / arable land with large (field) stones - and therefore inferior fields - are also referred to from the language formerly used in agriculture, which only allowed extensive use.
