Pop bag
A bang bag , also known as a clapper ( paper clap ), is used to generate a bang and can be reused. It is made from a sheet of paper by folding it.
function
If the bag is moved with a quick jerk, the slam pocket (the folded part) quickly folds out due to the inertia . During this movement, the air around the bang is compressed and violent sound waves are created that are perceived as bangs.
Alternative pop bag
A paper bag, such as sales packaging for baked goods, which is inflated with air, closed with one hand and burst with the other by hitting it, is also known as a “pop bag”.
Figurative meaning
Colloquially in Germany, an "angry or incomprehensible person " or "crazy person" is referred to as a knalltüte, similar to the terms Knallkopp or Knallcharge , also comparable to you have a bang ("you are crazy").
