Squat racks are dumbbell rests for strength training , which are usually found in the gym or in weight rooms. Squat racks can be permanently installed or portable and adjustable in height. Portable squat racks are suitable for home training. Squat stands are not only suitable for exercises such as squats , but also for a variety of exercises with a barbell . Classic exercises that can be performed with the help of squat stands include bench presses , incline bench presses , neck presses or lunges. Squat stands are required to bring heavily loaded barbells into the correct starting position for the exercise. The height of the dumbbell rack is adjusted to the exercise and the height of the person exercising. Correct placement under the squat racks is important for safe exercise.
