A bone lever is a surgical instrument that is used to reposition or push out a bone , occasionally as an abutment for drilling and chiseling . It is made of stainless steel , has a hook-shaped end for gripping the bone and a widening that serves as soft tissue protection when levering. Bone levers are available in different sizes and designs, the most common being the Hohmann bone lever.
