The Boulder Burials (also Boulder Tombs) from Knocks ( Irish Na Cnoic - German  "the hills" ) are marked on OS maps as "Boulder burial". It is located east of the R588 and north of Clonakilty ( Cloich na Coillte ) in County Cork , Ireland .

The three boulder burials (A to C) are in the shape of a triangle with a side length of about 1.5 m on a flat pasture, about 8.0 m east of one of the 48 ring forts that surround Clonakilty.

  • Burial A in the northeast consists of a large, almost square capstone 1.8 m long, 1.7 m wide and 0.9 m thick, which lies on four supporting stones.
  • Burial B in the southwest consists of a large round capstone 2.4 m in diameter and 0.6 m thick, which rests on at least five bearing stones.
  • Burial C in the northwest consists of a rectangular capstone about 2.0 m long, 1.3 m wide and 0.65 m thick. It rests on three supporting stones, of which only two are visible.
