Muesli is in the basic form of sugar or honey baked oatmeal , as breakfast cereals ( cereal ), as a snack or as garnishing to be eaten ( "topping"), for example, ice cream. Another common ingredient is nuts .

International

In English-speaking countries, “granola” has become a generic name for this product. James Caleb Jackson, an American health apostle and sanatorium operator, began selling “granules” in 1863, which consisted of baked whole wheat flour. John Harvey Kellogg , inventor of corn flakes , brought a similar product onto the market in 1878 under the same name, which was later renamed "Granola" for legal reasons.
