Ko Lan (also: Koh Larn or Ko Laan , Thai : เกาะ ล้าน ) is an island in the eastern part of the central region of Thailand .
Ko Lan belongs to the Chonburi province , Amphoe Bang Lamung and is located in the eastern Gulf of Thailand about 9 kilometers from Pattaya . The island has two small settlements: Ban Ko Lan and Ban Krok Makhan. There is a ferry connection with Pattaya, the crossing takes approximately 45 minutes.
In addition to the beautiful beaches, the two smaller islands Ko Sak ( เกาะ สาก ) and Ko Krok ( เกาะ ครก ) are attractive. To the west of Ko Lan lies the uninhabited group of islands of Ko Phai, which have a mountainous character.
