eOne Music
eOne Music [ ˈiːwʌn ˈmju: zɪk ] is an American independent label . It was founded in 1987 by Michael Koch as Koch Records (also spelled KOCH Records) and is based in New York City . Since 2005 it has been a subsidiary of the Canadian media company Entertainment One . According to its own account, it is the largest independent record label in the United States and had the highest number of albums in the Billboard magazine charts in both 2006 and 2007 .
On February 14, 2002, the Universal Music Group agreed to publish data carriers in Europe and is delivering them as "E1 Universal". From January 22nd, 2009, KOCH Records was officially listed under the name "E1 Music", later the change to the spelling "eOne Music" followed.
