Trunk tub

A trunk liner (also a trunk liner , trunk liner , incorrectly also trunk mat) is a shell-shaped protection for the trunk of a vehicle to protect it from damage and soiling. This contributes to reduced cleaning and maintenance costs and, above all, to maintaining the vehicle's value.
The difference between a trunk tub and a trunk mat lies in the shell shape or the raised circumferential edge, which is primarily intended to prevent liquids or dirt from getting onto the trunk floor. In contrast, a trunk mat is flat.
There are trunk tubs with a low rim (usually around 5 cm high) and trunk tubs with a high rim. They can always have the same high all-round edge or be flattened at the loading sill. Trunk tubs are usually made of plastic, such as polyethylene (flexible yet stable) or hard plastic and are therefore usually easy to clean. Often you will also find trunk tubs with an integrated anti-slip mat that prevents objects from sliding around on the tub.
Universal trunk tubs are available, which are made in different standard sizes and are mostly square. But there are also trunk tubs that have the exact fit of the trunk of the respective vehicle. This ensures the best possible utilization of the trunk and a high level of functionality.
Trunk tubs are mostly available in anthracite black, but other colors are also sometimes offered. Trunk tubs are manufactured industrially.
