Soft plastic

As soft plastic colloquially particularly flexible are plastics called. These are mainly soft PVC and polyolefins , especially polyethylene . In contrast, stiffer plastics are called hard plastics , while elastomers are referred to as (synthetic) rubber . Plastics called "hard plastic" can belong to the group of thermoplastics (meltable) as well as thermosets (synthetic resins, not meltable), whereby most thermosets are hard plastics .
