Kohlhof ( listen ? / I ) was a district of Königsberg (Prussia) . It was north of Mittelhufen on the arterial road to Cranz / Rauschen and south of Charlottenburg / Samland and Tannenwalde . Audio file / audio sample

Surname

The name goes back to the Justice Commissioner Kohlhoff, a well-known breeder of fruit varieties.

history

Kohlhof, originally an estate, was a young district that belonged to Neuhufen . Neuhufen was formed in 1901 from the Mittelhufen district and was incorporated into Königsberg in 1908. There was an elementary school , an institution for the deaf and dumb and a shelter for the homeless .
