Koinos (King)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Koinos is said to have been the second king of Macedonia and the son of Karanos . His exact reign is unknown.

According to the ancient lists of kings, he ruled for 12 years; after Diodor 28. During his reign the first Olympic Games of antiquity took place. He was succeeded by Tyrimmas .

The historicity of the Koino, like that of its father Karanos, is controversial in modern research.
