Kollektiv Turmstrasse is a musician duo consisting of the music producers Nico Plagemann and Christian Hilscher, who grew up in Wismar on the Baltic Sea and now live in Hamburg . Their sound can be classified in the field of melodic minimal techno .
The project was founded by Plagemann and Hilscher in 1999 in an apartment in Wismar. The shared apartment was on Turmstrasse (hence the name). Influenced by the sound of Basic Channels , they produced their first pieces. Her first official production entitled Turmstrasse appeared in 2001 on the sampler Team Battle Vol. 2 by Electronic Parliament .
In 2006 her first album Verrückte Welt was released on her own net label No Response. After various singles and EPs on labels such as Ostwind Records, Musik Gewinnt Freunde, Diynamic Music and Connaisseur Recordings, their second album Rebellion der Träumer was released in 2010 .
In 2011 the net label No Response was closed.
