Henneicke column

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Kolonne Henneicke was a group of 54 employees from the "household rater registration office" of Dutch bounty hunters, led by Willem Briedé and Wim Henneicke , and reported Jews and their possessions to the German occupation forces during World War II .

The group consisted mainly of members of the National Socialist Movement of the Netherlands (NSB). From March to September 1943 the members searched Amsterdam and the surrounding area for Jews in hiding. For every Jew they extradited, they received 7.50 guilders in addition to their regular income. They tracked down more than 8,000 Jews, including children, almost all of whom were murdered in the extermination camps .
