Columbus painter
The Columbus painter was a provisional names designated ancient Greek vase painter who works in its Corinthian - black-style decorated. He worked during the transition from the orientalizing to the black-figure style (640 to 625 BC). The Columbus Painter was a student of the painter of Palermo 489 and in turn a teacher of the Chimaira painter and thus also had an influence on the Chimaira group around him. Its powerful lions were characteristic. He mainly painted aryballoi .
