Coming Windau

The Coming Windau in Courland was one of the Coming of the Teutonic Order . It was founded in 1291 and became the nucleus of the city of Ventspils (Windau) in what is now the Republic of Latvia .

The coming one belonged to the masters of Livonia , which had considerable autonomy within the Teutonic Order state . They existed until 1560 and was from 1561 to 1562 after Kurland in November 1561 under the Gotthard Kettler one under Polish suzerainty had become stagnant Duchy, seat of the former country Marshal Kaspar of Munster .
