Commission publisher

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A commission publisher is solely responsible for the distribution of a publication. He does not acquire his own publishing rights and does not bear the fees and production costs for a publication.

Most scientific institutions , authorities or libraries are commissioned by commission publishers.

The commission publishing house is compensated by a certain share of the turnover and thus covers the costs for the distribution and the advertising measures.

In view of its clients and the characteristics described, it differs from publishers as well as from grant publishers and cost publishers .
