Municipal network of property drainage
The municipal network for property drainage (KomNetGEW) is a network of sewage network operators .
Section 61a of the State Water Act of North Rhine-Westphalia with the focus on "private sewage systems" is aimed at citizens and municipalities . The municipalities are therefore obliged to advise their property owners about the deadline and the implementation of the leak test on private sewer pipes . The municipal property drainage network was founded by wastewater with the aim of realizing the aforementioned legal requirement jointly and in a citizen-friendly manner. H. with the lowest possible disruption and costs for the property owner. Only those who are members can participate. The network is administered by IKT - Institute for Underground Infrastructure gGmbH in Gelsenkirchen.
Focus of work
The municipalities involved in the KomNetGEW set the following priorities in terms of content:
- Provision of citizen information that is tailored to the needs of the municipality
- Support with recommendation lists for citizens to select competent service providers, such as B. Renovation Firms
- Certification of experts for leak testing
- Advice and training in technical issues relating to property drainage
