Communication module

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

As a communication module in the are Electrical a finished transceiver - assembly and the associated components for control ( micro controller ), respectively. The assemblies are mainly designed as plug-in cards , which are then plugged onto a motherboard .

When communicating via the communication module, the main board only sends the data to be transmitted to the module, which then transmits them according to the respective communication standard. The communication module thus takes on the transmission and reception protocol, the encryption and management of the data, as well as the control of the corresponding physical transmission. This can be wired as well as wireless.
