Kompulsor (actually Eugene Borodkin) is an American music artist , record producer and DJ based in the USA . He has been active in the music industry in the areas of euro and dance pop music since 2000. He's released several singles such as Your Girl , DJ Number One , a dance version of Daughtry's It's Over Now and a cover dance version of ATC's Around the World (La La La La La) . All of his tracks and remixes have appeared on both the American and European markets.

Kompulsor publishes his music on his own website, on the label Mental Madness Records .

biography

The story begins in 2001 when trance music reached its peak and its powerful sounds swept the world away. During this time a DJ and music producer from the USA, Kompulsor, was interested in the harder trance sound from Germany. The German DJs Dean, Pulsedriver and Rocco were successful in the clubs with a particularly hard type of trance at that time. They concentrated on a style of music with a strong bass and striking melodies that soon became known as " Hands up " - the next generation of Eurodance.

In the USA it was difficult to get to famous German CDs like “Tunnel” and “Dream Dance” and buying German records was next to impossible. Kompulsor overcame these obstacles and put together a huge collection of hard trance recordings from Hamburg, with which he began his career as a DJ.

From 2001 to 2004 Kompulsor spread the sound of German trance internationally in the form of DJ mixes; some of them are still available today. An important colleague and inspiration during this time was “DJ Dawn”, a Loveparade DJ from Hamburg, who recorded similar monthly mixes and who was in contact with Kompulsor online in the North American trance discussion forums.

Kompulsor was also very lucky to meet two people who were invaluable in helping him find his way into music production. Alex Twister, a veteran dance music producer from the US and Partystylerz, a well-known Russian hit maker, both were his mentors on the basics of production and songwriting. Your feedback, criticism, and constant support shaped the catchy distinctive sound it's known for these days!

While his first productions received recognition, Kompulsor's music didn't really catch on until he met the Dutch singer Linda Bredschneyder and her producer Martijn de Vries. Martijn and Linda ("Elevated Music") worked in a way that was the perfect counterpart to Kompulsor: Linda's strong euro trance voice suddenly brought energy into his pieces and breathed life into them. After the first vocal songs "Your Girl" and "DJ Number One" it finally got its first official release - the original song "Look At Me Now" sung by Linda was released in 2007 and quickly rose to the German charts! To date it has been his greatest success.

Further milestones soon followed and culminated in the contract with the Hamburg label Mental Madness and the HandsUp remake of the famous 90s hit ATC - "Around The World (La La La La)".
