Confluence
Confluence ( Latin con 'with', 'together' and fluere 'flow') stands for:
- generally the meeting or merging of two or more objects into a whole
- Confluence (computer science) , the property of a transition system to assign only one normal form to each element
- Confluence (hydrology), the place where two rivers meet, usually when a tributary flows into a larger river
- Confluence (glaciology) , the confluence of two or more glaciers
- Confluence (geography), intersection point of integer longitude and latitude, see confluence point
