The Confucius Statue

The world's largest Confucius statue at 72 meters is a structure made of brass and reinforced with steel on the Nishan ( 尼 山  - "Mountain Ni"). This mountain or hill is located in the immediate vicinity of the city of Qufu (Chinese: 曲阜 市) / Shandong Province in the People's Republic of China . According to tradition, Nishan is the birthplace of Confucius.

The construction time was 1.5 years. The statue was presented to the public for the first time in 2016. The statue was officially inaugurated on September 27, 2018.

A stage is set up right on the square. An evening visit here can be combined with a show consisting of a mixture of dance interludes, laser technology, fireworks and water pressure systems. Thereby portraits of Confucius are incorporated.
